Summer Accommodation
As the New College building will be closed from 13 December 2026 to 30 January 2027, New College collegians who require accommodation during the summer break can book a stay at New College Postgraduate Village.
The New College building will reopen from 30 January 2027, primarily to accommodate New College students who wish to check in early and prepare for the new academic term or to suit their flight schedules. The nightly rate during this period is $70 per night (New College students only).
New College Postgraduate Village will offer accommodation during the summer break, from 13 December 2026 to 30 January 2027 for students whose contract ends before 30 Jan 2027.
Rates For Current Students:
- Single Studio: $85 per night
- Single Room in a Shared Apartment: $80 per night
- Retention of your current room (for NCPV students only): 50% of the above nightly rate.
(Please note that you are required to return your room card to Reception prior to your departure. You will not be permitted to stay in the room while it is on retention status. The retained room is for storing your luggage and personal belongings only.)
Booking Policy:
- Availability: All bookings are subject to availability at the time of booking.
- Meals: Meals are not included in summer accommodation bookings.
- Refunds and changes: All bookings are non-refundable and cannot be cancelled or refunded once confirmed. A $25 administration fee will apply to any changes made after the booking has been created. We therefore encourage you to carefully consider your travel plans before submitting your booking request.
- Booking deadline: All booking requests must be submitted by 27 November 2026.
Booking Process:
- Complete the Summer Accommodation Booking Request Form below or download the PDF form, complete it and send it to Courtney at conferences@newcollege.unsw.edu.au
- Once your request has been received, Courtney will send you an invoice and payment instructions.
Full payment prior to the check-in date is required to secure your booking.
